Rawdon History is dedicated to uncovering and sharing the unique story of Rawdon’s early settlers. With years of research and deep family ties to the area, I am delighted to share Rawdon’s uniqie history with present and future generations.
After 40 years of research, Rawdon’s history has become a passion. Inspired by family stories and encouragement from others, this project transformed from personal exploration to a comprehensive record of the township's beginnings.
Thank you Beverly Prud'homme for such a wonderful article on Rawdon way back in 1952! Here I am living in Western Australia, enjoying your description of times and places in Rawdon back when my parents owned a cottage on 10th Ave across the street from the Walkers. I spent my childhood, teen years living the wonderful summers in Rawdon and right up until my husband and I left with our family in 1972 for Australia.
All our happy memories came flooding back with places and names in this fine article. You are a treasure!
